Ben Freeman is a queer Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter and producer who sings about the big hurts and quiet joys of being alive. The creative lovechild of Joni Mitchell and Stevie Wonder, his music is marked by soulful storytelling; a quiet, introspective lyricism; and an adventurous harmonic sensibility. Outer space shows up frequently in his songwriting, long roads do too: fundamentally it is music of longing.
